Founded in 1989, the Ercros Group grew out of a merger between what were, at that time, the two largest private Spanish chemicals companies: Uni髇 Explosivos R韔 Tinto, S.A. (ERT) and S.A. Cros. In 2005, Ercros acquires Grupo Aragonesas and in 2006 Derivados Forestales GRoup XXI, becoming the first Spanish chemical company, non petrochemical nor multinational.
Ercros is an industrial group dedicated to making and marketing basic products for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, as well as plastics, animal food, water treatment and emulsions. Its corporate capital stands at 259 million euros and its shares are quoted on the Barcelona, Bilbao, Madrid and Valencia stock exchanges.
The company has a workforce of a 2,300 distributed among 18 production facilities.
With an annual output of 3.5 million tonnes, Ercros has a turnover in the region of 750 million euros. Its products are sold to 2,000 customers and are present in 90 countries.
