Qinghai Western Magnesium Co., Ltd. is a holding subsidiary of Western Mining Group Co., Ltd. and is a high-tech enterprise recognized by Qinghai Provincial Science and technology department. The company was established in 2006, with a registered capital of 500 million yuan, of which, Western Mining Group Co., Ltd. accounted for 91.40% of the company's registered capital, Hailiang Group Co., Ltd. accounted for 4.23% of the company's registered capital, Xu Hui, a natural person, accounted for 3.07% of the company's registered capital; Central South University Asset Management Co., Ltd. accounted for 1.30% of the company's registered capital. The company is located in Delingha Industrial Park, Qinghai Province, covering an area of 600 mu, with 400 employees.

The company has 25.3 square kilometers of magnesium rich brine mine, in which magnesium chloride content reaches more than 47%, and the total reserve is 60 million tons. Our project has reached capacity of 150000t/y of high-purity magnesium hydroxide , supporting construction has 80000t/y high purity magnesium oxide,45000t/y hight purity magnesia and 50000t/y purity dead burned magesia four processess. The main products are high-purity sintered magnesia, high-purity magnesium hydroxide raw powder, high-purity magnesium oxide, high-purity fused magnesia, high-purity magnesium hydroxide fine powder (5-6μm), high-purity magnesium hydroxide fine powder (1-2μm), etc. the purity of all kinds of products reaches more than 99%, which is widely used in flame retardant, medical, military, aerospace, new energy and other fields, and most of the products are sold to the international market. At present, the company has three patents and three scientific and technological achievements, such as continuous production of high-purity magnesium hydroxide by salt lake brine ammonia lime combined method, which solves the worldwide problem of filtration and washing performance of magnesium hydroxide.

In 2017, the company was recognized as a "high-tech enterprise" by the Department of science and technology of Qinghai Province. In February 2020, the company was selected as the "special action of 100 science and technology enterprises deepening market-oriented reform and improving independent innovation ability" of the state-owned enterprise reform leading group of the State Council in February 2020.
