Bohai University Institute of Superfine Chemicals, founded in 2003, is located in age-old cultural ancient city—Jinzhou, which lies in beautiful Bohai Bay with convenient transportation conditions. Now the director of Institute of Superfine Chemicals is Gao Wentao Professor, who received his PhD from Dalian University of Technology in 1997 and was a post-doctoral fellow in Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics of Chinese Academy of Science in 2002. The members of the institute consists of five doctors, eight masters and twelve postgraduate students and are a powerful, honest and high quality research team.Relying on Liaoning Province Key Laboratory of Applied Chemistry, the institute undertook many National and Provincial Natural Science Foundation Projects as well as some cooperative projects with enterprises, and developed some core technologies having self-owned intellectual properties. In recent five years, we have applied seven national invention patents, two of which have been authorized, awarded a second award of National Science and Technology Progress, a Science and Technology Advancement Award of China Haohua Chemical Group (Ministry of Chemical Industry), and four seconds awards and six third awards of Liaoning Provincial Excellent Academic Papers. In 2006, the Liaoning Education Bureau’s project“Synthesis and Research on Pharmcological Activity of A Series of Troponoid Compounds”was passed provincial level scientific and technological achievement appraisal and the appraisal result was international advanced level. In addition, in prestigious home and abroad journals such as“Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry”,“Dyes and Pigments”,“Journal of Chemical Research(s)”,“Journal of Liquid Chromatography Related”,“Chinese Chemical Letters”,“Molecule”,“Journal of Chinese Chemistry”,“Chinese Journal of Organic Chemistry”,“Chemical Journal of Chinese Universities”,“Progress In Chemistry”,“Chemical Research in Chinese Universities”,“Chinese Journal of Chemical World”,“Chinese Journal of Chemical Research”,“Chemical Research and Application”,“Chemical Reagents”,“Chinese Journal of Synthetic Chemistry”,“Journal of Xiamen University (Natural Science)”,“Acta Scientiarum Naturalium Universitatis Pekinensis”,“Journal of Dalian University of Technology”, we have pulished 105 papers, 18 papers of which was cited by SCI and 9 by EI.Institute of Superfine Chemicals is concentrated on the research and synthesis of some high quality, new-style and special compounds with the characters of little dosage, long and complex synthesis route, and high added value, etc. Our institute mainly researches fine chemicals, such as medicine, pesticide, dye (paint) intermediates and oilfield auxiliary chemical, etc. Our products with self-owned intellectual properties have more than 800 compounds, such as tropolone series, 3-cinnamonacyltropolone series, 3-quinolyltropolone series, 3-indolal series, 3-anilin-3-oxo propionic acid, etc. and we can provide over 1,000 refined compounds. We have established long-term cooperative relationship with Chinese Academy of Sciences Dalian Chemical and Physical Research Institute, Korea Chemical Research Institute, Dalian University of Technology, Beijing University of Technology, Netherlands SPECS and BioSPECS company, Dalian Kaifei Chemical Co., Ltd., Daqing Petroleum Management Bureau, Qilu Petroleum Chemical Company, etc and formed gradually the development model of a system of producing, studying, and researching.It is endless for success.
