  Colourless,transparent oily liquid,b.p.168°C(10mmHg),m.p.-37.5°C,freezing point -20°C,viscosity 6 c.p.(20°C),refractive index 1.435(20°C),.
  Soluble in aether and ethanol,insoluble in water.
  Used as plasticier for ethylenic resins,cellulosic resins amd synthetic rubbers.
  Also used as solvents and used in organic synthesis.
