Synthetic route
According to its structure (ester formed by acetic acid and 2-methoxyethanol), typical synthesis methods include:
Esterification reaction: Acetic acid and 2-methoxyethanol are directly esterified under acid catalysis.
Refining method: commonly used calcium chloride and anhydrous sodium carbonate are dried and then subjected to vacuum distillation to obtain high-purity products
Note: 2-methoxyethanol itself can be synthesized by reacting ethylene oxide with methanol, and then acetylated to obtain the target product
