Ethoprophos is an organophosphorus pesticide of very high toxicity. It is absorbed through the intack skin by inhalation of dust and fine spray mist and from the gastrointestinal tract. Most formulations should be handled by trained personnel wearing protective clothing.

Properties:
Pale yellow transparent liquid. Boiling point: 86-91°C (26.7Pa), the relative density: 1.094 (20 / 4°C), vapor pressure in 26°C is 0.0467 Pa, the water solubility in 25°C is 750mg / L, soluble in most organic solvents. Very stable in acidic medium; hydrolysed in alkaline medium at room temperature, hydrolysis will accelerated high temperature. Light stability.
Uses: It is soil insecticide of highly efficient and contact poison to prevent and wiping out underground pest and nematodes. It can also control polypody like prospirobolus, centipedes and as such effectively. To nematodes in wheat, in peanuts, in sweet potato,in potato and flowers, Ethoprophos have good effects on them too.
