It is mainly applied in the desiccant and used as the dehydrating agent for producing alcohol, ester, ether allyl resin. It can be also used for processing and deinking the waster paper. It is the raw material in producing calcium salt. The solution can be used as the flocculating agent in the industries such as sodium alginate and bean product.
