Pure compound crystallizes in flake from water or in needle from benzene. Specific gravity: 1.272(at 15℃), melting point: 110℃, boiling point: 276.5℃(at 759.7 mmHg). Easily soluble in water and organic solvents such as alcohol, ether and etc. It will turn to dork red on the exposure to light.
